an overview of our nursery

Little Garden Nursery is purpose-designed and located in a light and spacious building. A garden surrounding the building which allows our children to spend as much time as they wish in the open air.

We believe the outside environment has just as much to offer our children as the inside. We offer a ‘freeflow programme’ which enables them move freely between both areas in all weathers.

Our staff are responsible for planning a balanced educational programme based upon the child’s interests and the statutory Early Years curriculum . We aim to provide our children with an extended family whilst at the nursery. The owner as the manager has a degree in Early Years childhood studies and many years of experience at senior management level in a very large nursery. she also has many years of experience as an Early Year practitioner. Our other member of staff has NVQ 3. We also employ a carefully selected apprentice practitioner. We have access to a wide range of educational activities such as dance, drama and sport.

we provide our children with nutritious and well balanced meals which are cooked on our premises. We value and celebrate all cultures and religion.

Our baby room is thoughtfully arranged with opportunities for babies to access a range of heuristic materials, sand,water, dough and mark making.children who need to sleep during the session have their own bed, pillow, sheets and blankets which are laundered every week.
